Motorist strikes teen skateboarder near Maple Ridge

Officers were dispatched around 9:30 a.m. to the intersection of East 31st St and Riverside Dr.

According to security guards at Gathering Place, a public amusement park at 2650 S John Williams Way East, the boy consumed alcohol at the skate park and then attempted to cross the street on his skateboard when he was struck by the vehicle.

Police said they will not file charges against the driver.

The teen was hospitalized and is under observation.

Update: Man fatally struck by vehicle in late-night crash on Turner Tpk

KELLYVILLE, OK (CREEK COUNTY) – Authorities have released more information on a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on the Turner Turnpike in Creek County late Friday night.

This is an update to a previous news story.

According to News on 6, 44-year-old Donovan Knippenburg was killed in the accident, which occurred on the Turner Turnpike near mile marker 212 at about 11:07 p.m. Friday.

Knippenburg was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a vehicle.

The crash led to a partial closure of the roadway as authorities worked the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

10-year-old hospitalized after being hit by car in NW OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 10-year-old child was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in northwest Oklahoma City on Friday, according to OKC FOX.

The crash happened near the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and NW 10th.

The child was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive their injuries.

Two people dead following crash at Heritage Hill

TULSA, OK – A crash at L.L. Tisdale Pkwy and West Prince took the lives of a driver and a teenager Saturday night, according to KJRH.

Investigators say a vehicle struck a 14-year-old girl around 9 p.m. on May 15. The vehicle then swerved and crashed into another teen.

The driver died at the scene of the crash.

29-year-old man pushing bike fatally hit by car in Choctaw County

SAWYER, OK (CHOCTAW COUNTY) – A 29-year-old pedestrian pushing a bicycle was fatally struck by a driver on Highway 70 in Choctaw County late last night, according to KOCO News.

The accident happened on westbound US-70 in Sawyer at about 11:15 p.m., as 29-year-old Hugo man Arron Dickson was pushing a bicycle in the outside lane of the highway.

Dickson was struck by the driver of a 2006 Jeep Laredo. He died at the scene.

The two occupants of the Jeep were not reported as injured.

Man fatally struck by hit-and-run driver on OK-39 in Cleveland County

CLEVELAND COUNTY, OK – A man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver near the Cleveland County and Pottawatomie County line this morning, according to KOCO News.

The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m., about 8.5 miles southeast of Etowah and 6 miles northwest of Wanette, on State Highway 39 and Okay Road.

A man was struck by a motorist, then left for dead in the roadway, where a passing driver discovered his body.

Oklahoma City man killed after being run over by train

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man was struck and killed while lying on train tracks in Oklahoma City early Tuesday morning.

According to KFOR, the incident took place at about 7:45 p.m. along the tracks near the intersection of Melrose Lane and North Council Road.

Responding officers say the unidentified man was sleeping between the tracks and sat up as the train approached. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Elderly man fatally struck by allegedly drunk driver in Grady County

MINCO, OK (GRADY COUNTY) – An elderly man trying to load a car dolly was killed after being struck by a driver in Grady County early yesterday morning, according to KFOR.

The crash occurred on Oklahoma Highway 37, east of County Road 2860, at about 3:45 a.m.

When the crash happened, Anadarko resident Artemio Moreno, 77, was attempting to load a 2007 Chevrolet Impala onto a tow dolly attached to a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

A 20-year-old man from Tuttle, operating a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, swerved to avoid colliding with the 2015 Silverado, which was parked in the westbound lane of the highway.

The 20-year-old driver, however, was unable to avoid colliding with Moreno, the dolly, and the two parked vehicles.

Moreno died at the scene.

The driver was reportedly under the influence when the crash happened. Neither he nor his two passengers were hurt in the accident.

Woman may have been turned away at hotel before being hit by multiple cars

TULSA, OK – A pedestrian who may have been unable to get a hotel room was fatally struck by multiple drivers in Tulsa late last night, according to KTUL News.

The accident happened in the 4000 block of S Highway 169 at about 10 p.m., when a pedestrian was struck by multiple vehicles.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, may have been recently turned away from the Wyndham Hotel nearby.

She was found unconscious in the roadway by emergency crews, and she died of injuries sustained during the crash.
