OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol have reported injuries resulting from a collision on I-40 early Wednesday morning.

According to a tweet from OHP, the accident occurred at about 3:45 a.m. within the westbound lanes of the interstate near the Morgan Road overpass.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, at least one person sustained unknown injuries as a direct result.

No significant delays were reported as a result of the crash.

16-year-old driver crashes into Arby’s restaurant in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – An Arby’s restaurant in Tulsa was forced to close its doors after a 16-year-old driver crashed into the building on Tuesday evening.

According to KJRH, the incident took place sometime before 6 p.m. at the Arby’s near 41st Street and South Peoria Avenue.

Officers say the unidentified driver had his learner’s permit and accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the breaks. Fortunately, no one was hurt as a result of the crash.

The dining room of the restaurant has been closed until further notice.

Woman dies weeks after Cleveland County DUI crash

CLEVELAND CO., OK – A 35-year-old woman died nearly two weeks after being critically injured in a suspected DUI crash near Slaughterville.

According to News 9, the fatal crash occurred on March 26th shortly after 8:30 p.m. along US-77 at 60th Street.

35-year-old Kelli Kinman was in a vehicle traveling north on US-77 when a southbound truck veered into the oncoming lane and struck their vehicle head-on. Kinman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital on April 8th.

The at-fault driver, 47-year-old Bruce Underwood died as a result of his injuries on March 31st. Police believe he may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

3-vehicle injury collision partially blocks lanes on I-235

Man killed, woman hospitalized after Logan County crash

LOGAN CO., OK – A man was killed and a woman taken to an Oklahoma City hospital following a multi-vehicle collision early Monday morning.

According to Fox 25 Oklahoma City, the accident occurred shortly after 7:15 a.m. along State Highway 74F just outside of Crescent.

Investigators say 65-year-old James M. Keeney was northbound on the freeway when he crossed into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a second vehicle.

Keeney was pinned in his vehicle for over a half-hour before being extricated. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver involved, a 64-year-old woman, was hospitalized in good condition.

56-year-old Texas woman killed in Creek County crash

CREEK CO., OK – A woman from Texas died following a single-vehicle crash near Bristow on Monday night.

According to News on 6, 56-year-old Sheilla Forester lost control of her vehicle while traveling west on West 241st Street and collided with a fence. The vehicle then went airborne before crashed into a tree.

Forester was pinned inside her vehicle for an unknown amount of time after it came to rest in a creek bed. She was pulled from the vehicle and pronounced dead by Creek County EMS.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.

Elderly man fatally struck by allegedly drunk driver in Grady County

MINCO, OK (GRADY COUNTY) – An elderly man trying to load a car dolly was killed after being struck by a driver in Grady County early yesterday morning, according to KFOR.

The crash occurred on Oklahoma Highway 37, east of County Road 2860, at about 3:45 a.m.

When the crash happened, Anadarko resident Artemio Moreno, 77, was attempting to load a 2007 Chevrolet Impala onto a tow dolly attached to a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

A 20-year-old man from Tuttle, operating a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, swerved to avoid colliding with the 2015 Silverado, which was parked in the westbound lane of the highway.

The 20-year-old driver, however, was unable to avoid colliding with Moreno, the dolly, and the two parked vehicles.

Moreno died at the scene.

The driver was reportedly under the influence when the crash happened. Neither he nor his two passengers were hurt in the accident.
