Elderly woman dead, child seriously injured after Rogers County crash

GREGORY, OK (ROGERS COUNTY) – An elderly woman was killed and a child was severely injured in a collision on Highway 412 in Rogers County yesterday morning, according to information from KFOR.

The crash happened in Gregory on eastbound Hwy 412 near Gregory School Road at around 11:43 a.m., when a 2006 Jeep Liberty and a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze collided.

The driver of the Cruze, 92-year-old Tulsa resident Georgiv Snelson, was taken to the hospital in Tulsa, where she later was pronounced dead.

A male child was pinned within the wreckage for an undisclosed amount of time. He was airlifted to the same hospital in Tulsa with multiple critical injuries, including those to the head and torso.

The driver of the Jeep, a 28-year-old man from Siloam Springs, Arkansas, was not reported as injured.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — At least one person was hurt Friday afternoon in a vehicle crash near west Oklahoma City’s Classic Corbin Park neighborhood, according to TTN Oklahoma City.

The accident happened at the corner of North Meridian Avenue at Northwest 14th Street, near the Oklahoma City Fire Department building. It was first reported by TTN at 1:20 p.m.

Driver injured in vehicle fire on I-35 near NE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A man was hurt when his SUV caught fire early Wednesday on Interstate 35 near Twin Hills Golf & Country Club in northeast Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.

Oklahoma City police and fire crews responded to the scene on the northbound lanes near Northeast 36th Street, shortly before 3:30 a.m.

According to officials, a man was driving an older-model Ford Expedition when the vehicle malfunctioned and caught fire. He was able to pull over to the inside median and exit.

Shortly after arriving to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, firefighters were able to put out the blaze.

The male driver suffered minor injuries and was treated by emergency medics.

A section of the highway was shut down during the response but has since been reopened.
