TULSA, OK – FOX 23 reports that one motorist is dead following a collision between a motorhome and a car in downtown Tulsa on Friday evening.
According to Tulsa police, the crash occurred near the intersection of East 8th Street and South Cincinnati Avenue. The driver of a car traveling eastbound on E 8th St drove through a red light and was hit by a motorhome heading southbound on S Cincinnati Ave.
the driver of the car was stuck inside the wrecked vehicle and required rescue. After being extricated, the driver was unconscious and transported to St. John’s hospital, where they later passed away from their injuries.
Authorities say the family in the motorhome was visiting Tulsa and no one was harmed.
The collision also damaged an electrical pole, causing power outages in the area.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the Super 8 Motel near the intersection of Interstate 40 and Meridian Avenue on Friday, according to News on 6.
Jim Gardner with SkyNews 9 reported live from a helicopter, stating the accident involved a pick-up truck that hit and went on top of a car before colliding with the motel. The collision did not appear to cause significant damage to the building.

NOBLE CO., TN – The Interstate 35 northbound exit to U.S. Highway 412 west closed after an accident on Thursday morning.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s official twitter account reported the collision at 10:32 a.m.
Drivers traveling northbound on I-35 hoping to access US-412 west were urged to pass the exit and continue to SH-15 before making a u-turn and taking I-35 south to US-412 west.

TULSA, OK – A female driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a single-vehicle rollover crash into the backyard of a home last Friday, reports KTUL.
According to Tulsa police, the violent crash occurred overnight around 1 a.m. on Riverside Drive between East 56th Street and South Peoria Avenue.
The woman was reportedly driving at an excessive speed when her vehicle left the roadway and went into an embankment that forced it airborne, slamming through a fence and crashing into someone’s backyard.
When officers responded they found the woman with minor injuries and determined she was likely under the influence. She was then arrested on suspicion of DUI.

TULSA, OK – News on 6 reported that a resident of the Cascata Apartments at East 81st Street and South Mingo Road in southeast Tulsa slammed his truck into the offices of the complex on Thursday morning.
Officers said the driver struck two stone pillars, a pole, and a light pole while reversing his truck in front of the offices, causing significant damages to the property.
According to police, the driver lives at the apartment complex and subsequently left the scene before parking and entering his apartment. Authorities tracked down the vehicle and then met with the man in his apartment, where he told police that he was responsible for crashing into the building.
The man has not been charged, though police recorded his information.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
