OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK — At least one person was hurt Thursday morning due to a vehicle wreck near Willow Creek Shopping Center in west Edmond, according to TTN Oklahoma City.

The accident occurred at the intersection of South Santa Fe Avenue and West Edmond Road. It was first reported by TTN at 9:25 a.m.

At this time, authorities have not released details regarding the parties involved or the cause of the crash.

2 workers dead after falling down manhole at Edmond construction site

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK — Two construction workers died Tuesday afternoon after falling 25 feet down a manhole in northeast Edmond, reports News9.

The fatal incident occurred in the area of East Covell Road and North Midwest Boulevard. It was first reported by the involved company at 3:43 p.m.

Details are limited, but the company told officials the two male workers were working on a sewer line when they fell into the manhole.

Nearly two hours after the men fell, a specialized rescue team went into the hole, but both victims were found deceased.

Firefighters noted the oxygen level was at 18.5% at the time they made it 25 feet down into the hole.

It remains unclear at this time how the accident happened, but crews said the pipe did not appear to have failed.

2 pedestrians fatally hit by driver while jaywalking in Edmond

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK — Two men died Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing an Edmond road outside of a marked crosswalk, according to News Channel 8.

Edmond Police said the fatal incident occurred in a dark area of 33rd Street at around 10:00 p.m.

An early investigation indicates one man was pushing a man in a wheelchair across the road when a westbound vehicle hit both pedestrians.

Authorities confirmed the man in the wheelchair died from his injuries at the scene.

The other man suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver stayed after the crash and cooperated with responding officers. She was later released after questioning.

No further information has been disclosed at this time, but an investigation remains in progress.

3 injured in rollover crash following theft, pursuit near NE Edmond

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK — Three people were critically injured Sunday morning in a rollover crash during a police chase near northeast Edmond, reports KOCO.

Edmond Police said the crash happened at the intersection of Covell Road and Sooner Road.

An early investigation indicates two male suspects had stolen lumber from an area construction site when officers began following their vehicle. Early on in the pursuit, the driver dropped off the passenger, who was able to flee with all the lumber.

Officials said the driver later ran a red light and struck another vehicle carrying two elderly occupants, a man and a woman.

The suspect and the two victims were all transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. As of this writing, the suspect and the male victim remain in the intensive care unit but were listed in stable condition. The female victim continues to be in critical condition.

At this time, an investigation and a search for the other suspect remain underway.

The crash occurred at the 15th Street rail crossing, near an Office Deport store, shortly before 3:35 p.m.

EDMOND, OK – A car crashed into a power pole in Edmond on Friday night, reports News 9.

Emergency crews responded to a car crash at Danforth Road and Faircloud Drive, east of Bryant around 10 p.m. The driver had crashed into a power pole.

The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire. Parts of east Edmond were out of power for some time.

OLDHAM COUNTY, TX – Four people from Edmond died in a car crash with a semi in northern Texas Monday afternoon.

Sabrina Watson was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-40 in Oldham County when she collided head-on with a tractor-trailer, reports News9. 

The collision killed Watson, along with three others; a seven-year-old, a three-year-old, and an eight-month-year-old.

The driver of the semi sustained moderate injuries in the crash.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
