Multi-vehicle collision reported on I-40 near SE Yukon

CANADIAN COUNTY, OK — A multi-vehicle crash was reported Monday morning on Interstate 40 near The Market at Czech Hall shopping center in southeast Yukon, reports News9.

The accident took place on the eastbound lanes near Exit 137 to North Czech Hall Road, shortly after 7:00 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the wreck, but four vehicles were involved.

Footage taken at the scene shows at least two patrol vehicles at the scene and tow crews removing the last two vehicles from the side of the roadway.

Eastbound traffic was impacted in the aftermath of the crash, but returned to normal conditions shortly after.

As of this writing, authorities have not confirmed any injuries.

Driver injured in crash with light pole at Yukon intersection

CANADIAN COUNTY, OK — A 40-year-old man was hospitalized last Tuesday, August 2, after his vehicle knocked down a signal light pole in south Yukon, reports Yukon Progress.

Yukon Police responded to the scene at Garth Brooks Boulevard and West Vandament at around 8:15 p.m.

According to authorities, the man was driving a 2017 Dodge passenger van southbound when he suffered a medical emergency and went through the intersection at about 70-80 miles per hour. The vehicle veered into opposing lanes before hitting a curb, a traffic signal pole, and then a crosswalk light pole.

The driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with a leg injury, confirmed officials.

Following the crash, the intersection began operating as a four-way stop before a wooden pole with temporary lights was installed. A new metal pole is not expected to arrive for another 10 to 12 weeks.

Cow dies after cattle truck catches fire on I-40 near Yukon

CANADIAN COUNTY, OK — A cow was killed Friday night during a semi-truck fire on Interstate 40 near southeast Yukon, according to KFOR.

The accident happened near the intersection with North Mustang Road and was first reported by KFOR at 9:51 p.m.

Details are limited, but an official said a semi-truck hauling multiple cows caught fire. The fire was said to have spread from the cab of the semi to its trailer.

Responding fire crews worked to save the animals from the flames, but one cow died as a result of the incident.

It was unclear what caused the fire or whether the driver was hurt.

A section of the interstate was shut down during the emergency response and investigation.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — At least one person was left injured Thursday morning after a crash on West Wilshire Boulevard in Yukon, according to TTN Oklahoma City.

The collision occurred at the intersection with John Kilpatrick Turnpike, just northwest of Oklahoma City. It was first reported by TTN at 7:50 a.m.

Woman killed, girl injured in collision on NW Expressway near Yukon

CANADIAN COUNTY, OK — A woman died Friday morning after a two-vehicle collision that injured her 10-year-old daughter near northwest Yukon, according to OKCFOX.

The fatal wreck occurred on Northwest Expressway at Cimarron Road Northwest.

According to police, a car was heading eastbound on the expressway. At one point, a truck heading southbound on Cimarron Road veered past the centerline and struck the car.

Officials confirmed an adult female occupant in the car died from her injuries at the scene.

Her daughter, who was also a passenger in the car, was transported to a local hospital. She is expected to recover from her injuries.

Following the first crash, another vehicle hit the back of a parked sedan along the side of the road. Two patients from that collision suffered undisclosed injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.

A section of the NW Expressway was closed for hours during the emergency response.

Construction worker injured after house fire in Yukon

YUKON, OK- One person suffered minor burn injuries after a house caught fire just outside of Oklahoma City on Tuesday morning.

According to KOKH, the fire broke out at the 14000 block of Kamber Drive. The house was under construction while contractors were working inside.

One contractor was taken to an area hospital to be treated for burn injuries and is expected to be ok.

Fire crews say the flames began to spread near a paint sprayer. No further details were provided.

2 people injured, 1 critically in Yukon motorcycle crash

YUKON, OK – A man and female passenger on a motorcycle was injured in a crash on I-40 westbound Friday afternoon.

According to the Ponca Post, the crash happened as Reuben Stokley, 43, was operating the motorcycle westbound on I-40 just west of Garth Brooks Avenue.

After the accident, Stokely was transported to the hospital and shortly released.

A passenger on the motorcycle, 23-year-old Cheyenne Maloof was taken to Integris Canadian Valley Hospital and then transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was admitted in critical condition.

The full report has not yet been released as police investigate the cause of the crash.
